Founded in 2015 by Jayson Bonetti, Inizio Hair salon (#InizioDC) brings Italian flair and expert hair artistry to the heart of Shaw, Washington, D.C. The name “Inizio” -meaning “beginning” in Italian-captures our philosophy: every visit is a fresh start, a new beginning for your style and confidence.
From the start, we’ve created more than just a salon -we’ve built a community hub where luxury meets creativity and individuality is always celebrated. Even through challenges of the pandemic, our commitment to exceptional service and client care never wavered.
In 2022, Inizio entered an exciting new chapter with the addition of Elena Gioacchini as partner. With her extensive background in education, Elena has helped grow our talented team and expand our services, keeping Inizio at the forefront of hair care in Washington, D.C.
As a LGBTQ+ and woman-owned salon, inclusivity and authenticity are at the core of who we are. Our stylists specialize in haircuts, color and complete transformations, all while creating the diversity of our community.
